Grace and peace to you from God.
By the grace of God, the 24-hour-television Christopher Sun Evangelistic Association website of http://www.csea.tv has launched in August, 2021. Since 2013 Christopher Sun Evangelistic Association had purchased the television website of http://www.csea.tv , we finally solved the technical difficulties to publish the CSEA videos by the grace of God. The CSEA Videos currently contain English, Chinese, Taiwanese, Cantonese, Japanese, Korean, Bahasa languages, and we plan to upload more languages by the grace of God.
By the grace of God, 2021 is also the 37th anniversary since our ministry has registered as a non-profit Christian organization in California. Thanks be to our God! Thank you for your prayers and supports. May God continue to strengthen us working together to preach the Gospel to the ends of the earth!
The “Novel Coronavirus” outbreak is the tip of the iceberg, and it reveals the problem of the result that mankind violated God’s creation: When God created Adam to give him authority to rule the earth with God’s principle, God gave man the greatest command to “love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength” (Deuteronomy 6:5). Nevertheless, Adam and Eve did not fix their eyes on God, but obeying Satan’s lies, and they began to look at themselves to eat the forbidden fruit of the “Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil”, releasing death and sin on the earth. A man reaps what he sows. Wars, famines, earthquakes and plagues are the consequences for the violation of God’s harmonious law of creation. The death and sin, which are coming in the last days, will cause the great darkness and difficulties on the earth.
Jesus Christ said, “There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. People will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken. At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” (Luke 21:25-28).
The only hope of mankind is the redemptive power of the Cross. The precious blood of Jesus Christ shed upon the Cross can only be effectively received by faith through our heart. This faith leads our sin to be forgiven, leading us to be saved from sin, and it leads us to see our purpose of life being created by God. Only through our heart to love God, draw near to God, seek God, look up to God, and depend upon God, the heavenly life and light which are given by God in our heart can overcome the death and darkness in the last days. Because the precious blood of Jesus Christ not only redeems us, but most importantly changes us into the “new creation” as the children of God. Just as the Bible promises: “To all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.” (John 1:12).
Because we have the authority of the “children of God”, therefore “Life” will overcome death, “Light” will overcome darkness, “Truth” will overcome deception, “Faith” will overcome fear, and “Goodness” will overcome evil. When Satan has fully united with the evil in mankind to spread great darkness on the earth, it is also the time that God’s people arise to shine with the glory of God, to prepare the way for the second coming of Jesus Christ!
In the time of distress, we must be on guard, be alert and pray:
First, we must seek God, and recognize the voice and message of Jesus!
There are many voices and messages in the last days, but there is only one “Way” that leads to “Life Himself”. Only Jesus said, “I am the Way and the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. If you really knew Me, you would know My Father as well.” (John 14:6-7). The Christians who live in the last days but do not know Jesus Christ’s voice and message will be deceived by the traps of Satan. Jesus said, “When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice.” (John 10:4). We must be able to distinguish the voice of Jesus from all other voices, and then we can follow Him. It is of great importance for us to know Jesus Christ well enough, so that we can truly do the will of God.
Jesus warned us: “Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many…and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people.” (Matthew 24:4, 5 & 11). How do we discern between Jesus Christ’ voice and all other voices? That is by reading the Bible diligently! Read the Bible when you get up in the morning, and read the Bible before you go to bed in the evening, even with a few minutes, and read the Bible in consecutive order: Reading verse after verse, chapter after chapter, starting from the Gospel of Matthew. Eat the “Words of God” in the Bible as food in your heart, as Jesus replied to the devil: “Man does not live on bread alone, but on every Word that comes from the mouth of God.” (Matthew 4:4).
The voice and message of Jesus Christ never contradict with the “Words of God” in the Bible, because Jesus Christ is the “Word became flesh” (John1:14). How do we recognize and know the voice of Jesus Christ? That is by praying continually: Talk to Jesus Christ through your heart often, make yourself familiar with His voice and message, and build up close relationship with Jesus Christ. Draw near to God! The Bible teaches us: “Be joyful always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. Do not put out the Spirit’s fire; do not treat prophecies with contempt. Test everything.” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-21).
Secondly, we must learn to love God more!
The night before Jesus was crucified, Jesus Christ talked to Heavenly Father: “I have made You known to them, and will continue to make You known in order that the love You have for Me may be in them and that I Myself may be in them.” (John 17:26). The love coming from God can drive out all the fear! Because in the time of darkness, the love of most people will grow cold. Jesus Christ warned us: “Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.” (Matthew 24:12-13). Do you love God? Do you really love Jesus Christ? If you love God, you will long for and wait for the glorious appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ! When the days of difficulties and persecution come, the only thing that will keep us faithful is our “love for God”. When many people’s love grows cold, many even quit their faith, only those who “love God” will not drift away.
Jesus said, “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of Me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other.” (Matthew 24:9-10).
Satan always tries to deceive us to misunderstand Truth, deceiving us not to do the will of God. The only way which will keep us from being deceived is to “love God”. When we concentrate upon loving God and singly look up toward Jesus Christ, we will walk in the light of Life. Jesus Christ said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of Life.” (John 8:12).
Thirdly, we must truly worship God in spirit and in truth!
Jesus Christ said, “A time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.” (John 4:23).
When we truly worship God, we are joined to Jesus and make us one with Him, and His precious blood will heal our wounds and cleanse us. True worship leads us to abide in Jesus. Jesus said, “If you abide in Me, and My Words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.” (John 15:7).
Fourthly, we must abide in Jesus Christ continuously!
When the fire of trial comes, it will consume every wrong and man-made theory and philosophy, destroying every phantom, only the presence of the Lord Jesus is true reality. Jesus Christ said, “Every plant that My Heavenly Father has not planted will be pulled up by the roots.” (Matthew 15:13).
We must receive the living Words of God into our heart everyday, and abide in Jesus Christ continuously. When we are in perfect union with Jesus Christ, then we will think like Jesus. Therefore, we must take up our cross everyday, laying down all that we have before the Cross, and follow Jesus! The message of the Cross is the power of God, the Apostle Paul said, “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” (Galatians 2:20). We must offer our bodies as living sacrifices to God, then we will be transformed by the renewing of our mind, and we will be able to test and approve what God’s will is. Only when we do the will of God, our works will survive, and we will receive our rewards from God.
Fifthly, we must walk humbly with our God!
The Bible declares: “He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” (Micah 6:8). Because God opposes the proud but give grace to the humble, therefore we should humble ourselves under God’s mighty hand, and submit ourselves to God, then He will grant us wisdom, ability and power to help us at all times!
Only those who walk humbly with God can know God’s heart, God’s ways and God’s will, and see things by the Holy Spirit and not be deceived by Satan. Only those who walk humbly with God will have the likeness of Jesus, and Jesus will give the right to sit with Jesus on Jesus’ throne, just as Jesus overcame and sat down with His Father on His throne!
Our Lord Jesus has risen from the dead! When He has risen, He told His disciples: “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20). Since we have such promise, though now for a little while we may have had to suffer grief in trials, we should greatly rejoice!
I say them again: We must seek God, truly love God, draw near to God, abide in God, and walk humbly with God! This is the whole duty of us through faith and patience in the last days. Thank you for praying for us often, so that we will fearlessly preach the mystery of the Gospel. May God protect you and your family in the time of difficulties and pandemic! May God be with you all!
